RACE 1 SELECTIONS:  3-5-7-4

Taking a flier here with #3 SILVER DRILL (15-1). This one gets Irad Ortiz (23% for the meet) for the first time and will also take blinkers off today, which is a 33% angle for the trainer Jose Pinchin. He will take a drop down from a maiden special weight albeit for state breds into this open 35k maiden claimer. A couple of good works since the last race and at 15-1 definitely worth a play for me.

SUGGESTED PLAYS:  $10 win and place on #3 SILVER DRILL and a $2 exacta key box 3/2,4,5,6,7,8.

RACE 7 SELECTIONS:  7-5-2-9,1

#7 AWARD WINNER (8-1) will be my slight choice over #5 GRAN CAUSEWAY (3-1) who has a big shot in here going second out for Victor Barboza Jr. who has had a very strong meet and is 29% going sprint to route, experience edge. Top pick Award Winner also has a start under his belt. This 2yo son of Ghostzapper ran 6th in the debut after breaking dead last. Took money and should be able to benefit from that start. Gets a huge rider switch to Jose Ortiz. Comes in with a bullet work best of 46 on 12/7. I think #1 NOT NOW RAND (8-1) and #8 THETRASHMANSCOMING (10-1) both have shots to upset here. Another wide open MSW race at Gulfstream!

SUGGESTED PLAYS:  $10 win and place on #7 AWARD WINNER and a $3 exacta key box 7/1,2,5,8,9…LATE PICK FIVE PLAY:  2,5,7,9/1,5/1,12/2,4,7/3,4,5,6,7,14.

RACE 9 SELECTIONS:  12-1-8-4

#12 PAS DE SOUCIS (10-1, BEST BET) does not the ideal post draw for this and will have to overcome that, but I think if she can relax today she will run much better off the freshening for trainer Jorge Abreu. She has been a little unsettled in a couple of her starts and that has cost her. She was in good form though until the last start when she was on a quick pace and was no threat to the likes of Rymska and New Money Honey. Will be close to the pace and I like the switch to Luis Saez. A few good works coming into this and the value will certainly be there. #1 BELLAVAIS (4-1) comes into this off a career top 92 Beyer for trainer Todd Pletcher. According to Formulator the last five years Pletcher is 33 for 98 (34%, $2.61 ROI) in turf routes top Beyer last out at Gulfstream Park off 31-60 days. Two good works for this and she is 4 for 7 at the mile distance. Big shot with the cozy rail draw under Castellano.

SUGGESTED PLAYS:  $20 win and place on #12 PAS DE SOUCIS and a $3 exacta key box 12/1,4,6,8,14.
